Vogogna — Borgo Medievale, Val d'Ossola

Vogogna kept its medieval street plan almost entirely intact while the rest of the lower Val d'Ossola modernised, its narrow stone lanes still overlooked by a small hilltop castle. It's a compact, quiet walk, distinct from the higher Ossola valleys further up toward the Alpine passes covered elsewhere in the region.
