Vinci — Casa Natale di Leonardo

A short path climbs from Vinci through terraced olive groves to Anchiano, the hamlet where Leonardo was born in 1452, its plain stone farmhouse still standing much as it would have appeared then. The surrounding Montalbano hillside gives an unpretentious, agricultural counterpoint to the more polished museum in Vinci below.
