Lessinia — Malga San Giorgio

Veneto

The Lessinia plateau above Valpolicella is a geological museum — limestone karst full of Jurassic fossils, including some of Italy's best sauropod trackways. The Cimbrian communities settled here from Bavaria in the 13th century left a distinctive culture of cherry festivals and carved wooden toys.
