Vallone di Champorcher
Aosta Valley
Val di Champorcher retains a strong Franco-Provençal dialect and traditional farming character, its trail climbing through some of the valley's oldest larch stands toward the high pastures below Lago Miserin. Stone hay barns, many still in seasonal use, dot the route alongside small chapels marking the old pilgrimage path. The valley forms part of the buffer zone for the neighbouring Mont Avic natural park, sharing much of its rare serpentine-rock flora.
