Vallone di Bardoney
Aosta Valley
Bardoney branches off the main Valsavarenche trail into a narrower, steeper valley that sees a fraction of the traffic heading toward the main refuge routes, making it a favourite of local naturalists. The trail climbs through larch and pine to open, ibex-grazed slopes with views across to the glaciated flank of Gran Paradiso itself. A small refuge partway up makes a good turnaround point for a half-day outing.
