Bagni Vignoni — Val d'Orcia Thermal Walk

Tuscany

Bagni Vignoni is unique in Italy — the village piazza is a 15th-century hot spring pool (52°C) that served as a bathing place for Lorenzo de' Medici and Pope Pius II. The Orcia river below has natural thermal waterways (45°C) where bathing is still free. The Via Francigena pilgrim route follows the Orcia valley here. The landscape is UNESCO World Heritage Val d'Orcia.
