Valle del Tenna

The Tenna river carves this valley on its way down from the Sibillini toward the Adriatic, passing beneath Amandola and a scatter of smaller hill villages known for chestnut cultivation. Old stone mills, some restored, still stand along the banks where the river once powered local grain and oil production. The valley serves as a quieter approach to the Infernaccio gorge further upstream.
