Ancient Akragas lined its southern ridge with temples — Concordia (near-complete), Hera, Heracles, the colossal Zeus — linked by a path among almond and olive. In a green cleft below, the FAI-run Giardino della Kolymbethra fills the Greek water-basin with orange, lemon and papyrus, fed by the original hypogean aqueducts.
