Valle Argentina
Liguria
Valle Argentina cuts inland from the flower-growing coast around Sanremo into a landscape of dry-stone-terraced olive groves that have shaped the local economy for over a thousand years. The trail links a string of medieval hill villages, including Triora, historically notorious for 16th-century witch trials still commemorated in local folklore. Higher up, the terraces give way to chestnut and beech forest as the valley climbs toward the Ligurian Alps.
