The Ponte Visconteo, a fortified bridge-dam built by the Visconti to control the Mincio river, still spans the water beside Valeggio's old mill village, close to the internationally known Parco Giardino Sigurtà. A flat riverside path follows the Mincio, giving views of the fortified bridge from the water level.
