Val Zoldana, Belluno
Veneto
Val Zoldana between the Pelmo (3,168 m) and Civetta (3,220 m) massifs is the most unspoiled large valley in the Belluno Dolomites — no ski resort in the main valley, old stone villages, ancient malga dairies. The Moiazza and Tamer walls rise above the valley floor. Wolf pack crosses from Carnia seasonally. Brown bear sightings. The Maè stream has dipper and otter. Dogs off-leash.
