Val Vény, Brenva Glacier
Aosta Valley
Val Vény at the foot of the Italian side of Mont Blanc is one of the great mountain valleys of the Alps — the Brenva Glacier descends steeply, four 4,000 m peaks are visible (Mont Blanc, Mont Maudit, Mont Blanc du Tacul, Tour Ronde), and the valley meadows are full of Alpine flowers. The Lac Combal at the valley head is an outwash lake from the glacier. Chamois, marmot, ibex. Dogs off-leash.
