Val di Zoldo — Monte Moiazza

Val di Zoldo is the least-visited of the major Dolomite valleys — it lacks a ski resort and so receives only a fraction of the traffic of Cortina or Val Gardena. The walk to the foot of Monte Moiazza crosses WWI Austrian military positions. The Civetta north wall (the 'Wall of Walls' — 1,200 m sheer) dominates the view. Chamois are seen on virtually every walk in this valley.
