The Val di Zoldo below Monte Civetta (3,220 m) is one of the most dramatic Dolomite valleys — the Civetta north-west face is 1,200 m of vertical limestone known as the 'Wall of Walls', first climbed in 1925. The valley has traditional Ladino culture. Ibex on the Civetta ridge. Roe deer in the valley forest. The Zoldano artisan gelato tradition is alive in the valley.
