Alberobello — Trulli Country Walk

The Itria Valley around Alberobello is a UNESCO World Heritage landscape of trulli — conical dry-stone houses built without mortar (to be quickly dismantled to avoid tax, legend says). The countryside walk between Alberobello and Locorotondo passes working trulli farms among ancient olive groves. The trulli are still inhabited. Dogs welcome on the rural lanes.
