Tricarico — the Rabatana and Saracena

Tricarico keeps two intact medieval Muslim quarters — the Rabatana and the Saracena — with blind alleys, a cylindrical Norman tower and courtyard houses, wrapped by a belvedere over the Basento. It is also known for its ancient Carnival with masked "cows and bulls".
