Torgnon — Bisse du Ru Courtaud
Aosta Valley
The Bisse du Ru Courtaud is a 16th-century irrigation canal carved into the hillside above Torgnon at 1,500 m — a flat, easy path through larch and pine forest with constant exposure south over the Aosta Valley. On clear days the panorama extends from the Matterhorn to Mont Blanc continuously. Alpine marmots whistle from the rock slopes above.
