From San Severino Lucano or the Bosco Magnano a path climbs through beech and then bare karst to the sawtooth Timpa di San Lorenzo, where wind-sculpted Bosnian (loricate) pines cling to the rock and the view runs across the whole Pollino massif to the Ionian.
