Termoli's Borgo Antico is the most intact medieval fishing quarter on the mid-Adriatic coast — a promontory with Norman castle (Frederick II, 1247), whitewashed houses and a cathedral with the relics of San Timoteo. The view from the castle walls extends to the Tremiti Islands (42 km). In the evening the borgo fills with the scent of grilled pesce azzurro from the quay restaurants.
