Taverna — Pinacoteca e Bosco

Taverna produced the Baroque painter Mattia Preti, whose works fill several of the town's churches and a dedicated gallery, and sits at the transition point where the Sila plateau's forest begins to climb above the surrounding farmland. Shaded woodland paths lead out from the edge of town into pine and chestnut.
