Vignanotica on the Gargano coast near Mattinata is enclosed by 200 m limestone cliffs on three sides — the only access is a 40-minute descent on foot. The beach is pebble and dark sand; the water is deep blue-green. Nesting peregrine falcons on the cliff walls. One of the least visited beaches in southern Italy despite its extraordinary setting.
