Campomarino Lido has one of the longest uncrowded beaches on the Adriatic — 10 km of fine sand at the mouth of the Biferno river. Molise's minimal coastline (36 km) means these beaches are almost unknown to Italian mass tourism. The Biferno mouth has a little ringed plover nesting colony. Dogs welcome year-round. The beach faces north-east — excellent morning light.
