The Baunei coast on the Golfo di Orosei in eastern Sardinia has a series of wild coves — Cala Sisine, Cala Luna, Cala Biriola — accessible only by a demanding cliff descent or boat from Cala Gonone. The Selvaggio Blu (Sardinia's hardest trekking route) runs along this coast. The limestone cliffs are 300–500 m. Griffon vulture overhead. No facilities on any cove.
