Sorano — Vie Cave & Rocca Orsini

Sorano shares the Etruscan-cut vie cave that made neighbouring Sovana and Pitigliano famous, deep sunken roads carved through soft volcanic tufo, but with far fewer visitors. The path from beneath the Orsini fortress drops into one of these corridors, walled in tufo rock on both sides.
