Sila — Bosco di Fallistro, Giganti

The Bosco di Fallistro near Spezzano della Sila in the Sila National Park has a grove of Calabrian black pine (Pinus laricio) trees 40 m tall and up to 2 m in diameter — approximately 400 years old. The grove is a natural monument. The broader Sila plateau forest at 1,100–1,400 m is Europe's largest upland pine forest. Dogs are welcome on the reserve paths.
