The Serra di Calvello runs south from the town of Calvello, dense beech on its flanks and open pasture along the crest, up to Monte Calvelluzzo (1,699 m). From the ridge the Val d'Agri and the pyramid of Monte Volturino stand to the south and the Dolomiti Lucane to the east.
