From Bergeggi the "Ripe" path traverses the sea-facing cliffs of the Torre del Mare headland through Mediterranean scrub, passing a Roman cistern and the old coast watchtowers, with the little nature-reserve island of Bergeggi just offshore, before dropping into Spotorno.
