Sentiero del Redentore

This path zigzags up from the Piano Grande toward a Redentore (Redeemer) statue placed on the ridge above Castelluccio, giving hikers a bird's-eye view of the plain's celebrated spring wildflower bloom, the fioritura. The climb passes through rocky pasture grazed by the same sheep that supply Castelluccio's famous lentils lower down. Post-earthquake rebuilding is still visible in the village below.
