Sentiero del Chianti

Tuscany

Threading between vineyards, olive groves, and remnant oak woodland near Gaiole in Chianti, this route passes the historic Badia a Coltibuono monastery, now a working wine estate. Cypress-lined farm tracks alternate with shaded woodland stretches typical of the Chianti hills. Wild boar are common in the woods, and the trail offers wide views over the vine-terraced valleys.
