Sentiero del Brigante, Calabria
Calabria
The Sentiero del Brigante is a 120 km route crossing Calabria from north to south through all three national parks: Pollino, Sila and Aspromonte. Named for the 19th-century brigands who used these mountain routes to evade the Italian state, it traverses Bosnian pine forests, Calabrian black pine and silver fir — a complete transect of southern Italy's wildest landscape.
