Sentiero del Beodo, Bordighera

Liguria

The "beodo" is a centuries-old open water channel that contours the wooded valley behind Bordighera, feeding the town's famous date palms. The path beside it is flat and cool even at midday, passing the Sasso hamlet, olive terraces and the church of Sant'Ampelio's hillside, with sea glimpses through the pines.
