The Sentiero Balcone traverses the east flank of Valsavarenche at 2,400–2,600 m — a sustained contour at ibex altitude. The Gran Paradiso (4,061 m) summit is visible the entire walk. Ibex groups of 10–30 are guaranteed in July and August. The path connects Pont to Eau Rousse via the high shelf — one of the best wildlife experiences in the Alps without technical difficulty.
