The Sassoguidano reserve near Pavullo protects the "Sasso" itself — a big flat-iron of sandstone — a rock arch (the Ponte del Cinghiale), the Bagnamartino gorge and a scatter of springs and small waterfalls, with nesting raptors and a marked network of easy paths through oak and chestnut wood.
