From the Pian delle Alpi above Schignano a path climbs through beech to the sharp summit of Sasso Gordona, right on the frontier. The easier route is a straightforward walk; an "Alta Via dei Monti Lariani" variant adds an exposed ferrata. The summit hangs over the whole Como basin.
