These four eroded sandstone towers, remnants of an ancient seabed uplifted and carved by weathering, punctuate an otherwise gentle landscape of vineyards and chestnut woods near Guiglia. The regional park around them protects a good population of peregrine falcons that nest on the exposed rock faces, and a ruined medieval castle adds another layer of history to the outcrops.
