A steep cobbled path climbs from Arnad-le-Vieux past the stations of a via crucis and the ruined Vallaise castle to the sanctuary of Notre-Dame de Tout-Pouvoir at Machaby, on a shelf among chestnut and vineyard. The balcony looks over the valley floor, the Lac de Lolair and the Mont Avic peaks.
