Salina dei Monaci, Torre Colimena

Between the sea and the Palude del Conte, the Salina dei Monaci is a shallow salt pan that glows rose in summer from its brine algae. A sandy path loops it through juniper dune and past the Torre Colimena watchtower, with flamingos, avocets and black-winged stilts on the water.
