Thirteen Baroque chapels wind up a wooded hill to the sanctuary of Belmonte, a pilgrimage site since the Middle Ages and part of the Sacri Monti World Heritage group. From the terrace the whole Ivrea morainic amphitheatre and the Gran Paradiso peaks lay spread out.
