Sa Mesa Longa, Sinis Peninsula
Sardinia
Sa Mesa Longa on the Sinis Peninsula is an 8 km beach of white quartz sand with virtually no facilities — one of the most pristine beaches on the island. Behind the beach the Stagno Sale Porcus lagoon has the largest flamingo concentration in Sardinia (8,000+). The sea is clear and calm (protected by headlands). Loggerhead turtle nests occasionally in September. Dogs welcome year-round.
