This granite rock, a glacial erratic-like outlier left stranded on the Pianura Padana, has been a strategic lookout since Roman times and now anchors a small regional nature reserve. A short climb through oak and hornbeam woodland reaches a summit terrace with an unusually wide panorama stretching from Monviso to the Cottian Alps. Ruins of a medieval fortress cling to the rock's steepest face.
