Riserva Naturale della Sentina

The Riserva della Sentina is a small (12 ha) but critically important coastal wetland wedged between the city of San Benedetto del Tronto and the Tronto river mouth. It is the last surviving fragment of the lagoonal coastline that once lined the southern Marche. Over 150 bird species have been recorded including marsh harrier, bittern, bearded tit and multiple heron species. Dogs allowed on the perimeter paths.
