Riserva Naturale della Sentina at San Benedetto del Tronto is the last natural coastal wetland in the Marche — a brackish lagoon at the mouth of the Tronto river with greater flamingo, spoonbill, avocet and the most diverse wader assemblage on the central Adriatic coast. Little tern nesting. The beach of San Benedetto is one of the longest in the Adriatic. Dogs on leash in the reserve.
