Riserva Marina degli Scogli di Isca
Calabria
This small marine protected area centres on a cluster of granite islets just offshore, sculpted by wave erosion into distinctive shapes and surrounded by seagrass meadows important for local marine life. The adjacent beach is quieter than the resort towns further along the Costa degli Aranci, with clean, clear water favoured by snorkellers. Loggerhead turtles are occasionally spotted foraging near the islets in summer.
