Grotta dell'Uzzo, Zingaro North

The northern section of the Riserva Naturale Zingaro (from Scopello) reaches the Grotta dell'Uzzo — a cave with continuous human habitation from 8000 BC, one of the most important Mesolithic sites in Sicily. The cave overlooks a rocky cove. The north side of the reserve has smaller, quieter beaches than the south. Bonelli's eagle and Eleonora's falcon hunt the reserve headlands.
