The Torrente Callora above Campobasso cuts through a limestone gorge within walking distance of the regional capital. Otter was confirmed on the Callora in 2020. Dipper on every pool. A 20 m waterfall is 40 minutes from the trailhead. This level of wildlife 10 minutes from a city is rare even in Molise. Dogs off-leash on the gorge path.
