Monte Genuardo (1,180 m) carries one of the best surviving woods of the Sicani — downy oak, ash and a planted conifer belt — with the roofless Norman abbey of Santa Maria del Bosco on its flank and the Greek-indigenous city of Adranon on a spur. Forest roads climb to the summit and its wide view over the Belice valley.
