Riserva Monte Capodarso e Valle dell'Imera Meridionale
Sicily
The Imera Meridionale has cut a wide valley of "calanchi" between Monte Capodarso and Monte Sabucina, both crowned by the ruins of Greek-Sikel settlements. Paths cross the badlands and gypsum outcrops to the iron Capodarso railway bridge of 1881, still standing over the river; the landscape starred in "Divorzio all'italiana".
