Riserva Naturale Lago di Sibolla, Altopascio

Tuscany

The Sibolla is a spring-fed acidic pool ringed by floating peat mat, alder carr and rare bog plants — sundew, water fern, royal fern — that survive here from a colder age. A short boardwalk and a hide let you into the edge of it without damage, half an hour from Lucca.
