Monte dell'Ascensione, Piceno
Marche
Monte dell'Ascensione (1,100 m) near Offida is one of the most isolated peaks in Marche — rising alone above the Piceno hills between the sea and the Sibillini. The panorama from the summit is exceptional: Adriatic coast 15 km east, Monti Sibillini 25 km west, Gran Sasso visible in Abruzzo. The access from Rotella passes through Montepulciano clay badlands (calanchi). Wild orchids in April–May.
