The upper Val Masino above Bagni del Masino leads to the heart of the granite Masino-Bregaglia group — the Rifugio Allievi-Bonacossa (2,385 m) overlooks the north face of the Pizzo Badile (3,308 m) and Pizzo Cengalo (3,369 m). The approach through larch and arolla pine has ibex on the moraines. Chamois. Golden eagle. The granite walls are 1,000 m. Dogs off-leash.
